The Eco Lodge
Kick back and relax in this calm, stylish space. Set in a mature wooded setting with lake side views to the front . With Nottinghamshire wildlife trust (SSSI) and Idle Valley 300m away this is an area with many view points and host to hundreds of wild birds and recently ,Beavers! Great base for walkers , ramblers and mountain bikers (secure storage for bikes available) . local village pub nearby and the market town of Retford a very short drive . kingfishers literally beneath the lodge !
The lodge is a unique property to be in. Surrounded by an abundance of trees, beautiful lakes & surroundings of pure beauty.
Within the lodge you will feel very at home, with fixtures & fittings like nowhere else.
The living room/kitchen has everything you would like. Eat nice food & chill. Open the doors & listen to the wildlife. It’s perfect!
Fluffy towels are provided for you to enjoy a nice shower. Nice smellies too 🥰
The most cosiest of bedrooms to sleep in at night! To me I wanted it to look inviting but of hotel quality too. The pillows to sink into & duvets as soft as anything!

The outside areas are great for a BBQ or just to breath in the fresh air & take in the silence. Or follow the steps down to the waters edge, sit down relax & have your breakfast there. Feed the fish and the ducks. Even better be mindful & meditate. Perfect place for it…
For anybody wanting to carp fish during their stay there is a swim on the main carp lake (Peg 1) adjacent to the Eco Lodge. This can be booked for £10 per day and fishing is strictly from 7am to 7pm whilst stopping at the Eco Lodge. The lake rules are here on the website and must be adhered too.
This swim is only recommended for experienced carp anglers due to its snaggy nature and the various islands dotted about in the swim.
